Wharton grad Caroline Issa, now the editor of biannual fashion magazine Tank and a street-style fixture, has collaborated with Nordstrom on a womenswear capsule collection.

The collection, which officially hit stores last week, is a crisp, versatile mix of (mostly) separates — sharply tailored jackets, polished trousers, and luxe cashmere sweaters with a surprising open back. These clothes are powerful, grown-up, the sort of clothes that can take you seamlessly from boardroom to post-work cocktails. Are the silhouettes new? Perhaps not, but the way Issa blurs the line between modern (a double-face collared leather jacket with raw edges in a deep navy shade; a cropped white jacket that reveals a contrasting band of color when you pop the collar) and classic (simple A-line skirts), makes it feel fresh.

The line is available at Nordstrom’s Cherry Hill and King of Prussia locations, and online; prices range from $225 to $2,995. Shop it online here.
