Philly is already home to a pretty impressive import shopping scene (see: Morihata, Millésimé, Via Bellissima, Omoi Zakka Shop and Curio Philadelphia). But today, our cluster of global-centric shops gets a boost thanks to My Little Redemption, a brand-new boutique in Old City that specializes in high-end Israeli designers, and a major shopping event at South Street’s Morcoccan boutique Mushmina.

My Little Redemption (126 North 3rd Street) celebrates its grand opening tonight from 7pm to 9pm. Head there for cocktails and a runway show featuring designers like Mizo, Kedem Sasson (think: the Israeli version of Rick Owens) and Assaf Pelleg, all of whom offer super-modern shapes and proportions.

Closer to South Street? Pop over to Mushmina (1540 South Street) to celebrate Moroccan Independence Day. From 5:30pm to 8pm tonight, the fair trade, sustainable retailer will be doling out goodies like flash tattoos, cocktails, and 15 percent off all merch (excluding footwear and jewelry). We’ve got our eyes on these insanely cozy knit leggings and this perfectly-worn tweed-lined messenger bag.

Tip: The first 30 attendees receive a fair-trade freebie from the shop. And if you can’t make it tonight, you’re not out of luck: Shoppers can use the code GLOBALAFFAIR from 5:30pm to midnight tonight for the same in-store discount.

We’re officially in love with Philly’s retail melting pot.
