Your Guide to the Must-Shop Weekend Sales and Events

We rounded up the best.

At last, the weekend is here! Celebrate the last few days of summer (fall officially starts September 23!) with a little retail therapy. Don’t worry, we found plenty of ways to get your fix.

Fashion and Food at the Fareway: Visit Chestnut Hill tonight between 5 and 8 for fashion, live music, and food—you know, the makings for a fantastic Friday night. The event is being held outside the Market at Fareway, behind Chestnut Hill Hotel at 8229 Germantown Avenue. Models will be on hand to showcase fall looks from some of our favorite shops including Style Camp (catch ’em at Philly Mag Shops, too!), Artisans on the Avenue, J. McLaughlin, Delphine Gallery, Joseph A Banks, Statement Boutique Consignment, Villavillekula. Guests will also be able to be unwind with chair massages by Salon 90 and 3000 BC WellMed Spa and sample foods from local restaurants. Consider us there.

Joan Shepp: Tonight from 6 to 8, Joan Shepp will be joining forces with the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s exhibition ‘Runway of Love’ and the Philadelphia Collection to celebrate late designer Peter Kelly. Following the exhibit, stick around to catch the unveiling of Moschino’s super-exclusive (seriously, only a few boutiques worldwide will be stocking it) spring 2015 capsule collection.

Mettler’s American Mercantile: The opportunity to snag your dream shirt is finally here. Stop by the boutique Saturday between 10 and 4 to design and create a perfectly-cut Alicia Bell shirt or dress. (You can peruse the designs here.) The brains behind the brand will also be there to help with your perfectly tailored masterpiece.
