Duross & Langel Just Debuted Beer Haircare and It’s Actually Awesome

So much better than a Yuengling rinse.

Turns out when mom was rinsing her hair with Yuengling she was actually on to something. Duross & Langel took cues from the seeming wives’ tale when they launched a line of beer haircare products. Shoppist spoke with Steve Duross and he emphasizes: “It’s not just for men.” Hey, any hair product that promises full, thick hair we can get on board with.

First, the shampoo and conditioner don’t smell like beer (though you can get a beer soap box with boozy citrus scents). Second, the ingredients are hair superfood and include barley and hops extracts—ya know, the beer part—that actually thicken hair. Duross explains that other shampoos dry out hair which makes them appear thicker, while the beer products differ because the natural sugars from the barley and hops extracts back-fill the hair follicles with a weightless and pH balanced formula. Plus, they contain vitamin b5, creatine, and a keratin complex. Unfortunately, the verdict is still out on whether bread crusts make your hair curly. (Can you imagine that super-duo, bread and beer? For beauty purposes, of course.)
