In retail news, big changes are in store on Chestnut Hill’s Germantown Avenue, Shoppists. We’re talking three new stores and one relocation to accommodate the bustling shopping scene. Here’s what’s on tap.

Villavillekula: This quirky-cool children’s boutique located on 8135 Germantown Avenue opened back in March. Inspired Pippi Longstocking, the garb, gifts, and toys are just what’d you expect: colorful and playful. Hey, we can all use a dash of color, right?

Greene Street Consignment Kids: We first reported on Greene Street’s Chestnut Hill opening back in March and the store is slated to open its doors sometime this month on 8518 Germantown Avenue. Similar to its adult counterpart (right down the street!), the store sells clients’ gently used clothes (think: everything from Gap to Gucci).

Greenology: Opening this month at 8232 Germantown Avenue, Greenology is the garden and organic lifestyle shop your inner Gwyneth Paltrow will squeal over. Get your green thumb ready this spring with everything from terrariums to bonsai gardens to koi ponds (seriously.).

Style Camp: If you’re thinking, “Haven’t they been open for a while?”, you’re right. But due to the boutique’s success in the past year at their former location on 8232 Germantown Avenue, the mother-daughter duo behind the shop, Bitsy and Natalie Rhoda, decided to relocate to a bigger spot just down the street at 8433 Germantown Avenue. The shop stocks a perfect mix of classics, denim (they just got a shipment of overalls!), and internationally-inspired goods.
