When we first heard about the Philly company turning out wooden watches, we were worried the timepieces would be a distant cousin to this accessory, or worse, fall into this category. The verdict? They’re actually pretty amazing.

Philadelphia-based Analog Watch Co. has designed a series of minimalist, eco-friendly wooden watches that pack a serious aesthetic punch. The watches come in teak, blackwood, bamboo, maple and a variety of other woods—and, yes, the wooden strap is flexbible. If you don’t want a full-wood variety, opt for one with a wooden face and leather strap, like the Leather & Blackwood iteration from the Carpenter Collection.

Analog Watch Co. has partnered with Trees for the Future, a nonprofit that ensures a portion of profits from each watch sold will result in the planting of a tree. Plus, the watches are 80 percent biodegradable. Get yours for $119.99 during the presale here.
