The Look: Studs and Boots

Where Philly Mag photo intern Morgan Beye finds her best shoes—on a student budget.

I brought photo intern Morgan Beye out from behind the camera to dish the details on her casual but chic outfit. The University of the Arts student tells us how she transitions her look from school to interviews, and why she’s so excited about those jeans she’s got on.

The Look: BCBG necklace (“I bought it to wear to Fashion Week”); Express button-down with studs on the pockets; “very old” jeans (“I’ve had these jeans since I was in eighth grade. I found them in my closet this morning and I was excited I actually could still fit into them so I wore them” [Editor’s note: We have no words for this]; Diba boots from DSW (“I wear these just about every day”).

My Style: “This is me at my most casual. I usually wear skirts and tights as much as I can. I wear heels all the time. With these heels I’m 6’1″. In clothes, I need something that can transition from school to office to interviews. I have a leather circle skirt and black tights that I wear with this top for interviews.”

Where I Shop: “I love the Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People brands. I do a lot of online shopping at Nordstrom. I’m on a student budget, and for shoes, DSW has a great selection at great prices.”
