First of all, they're website has they're old address listed n u need a consultatiion before u make an appt so I walked a VERY long time on thu only to find out I went to the wrong address,(I walked because one of the buses septa told me to take was no longer there) however, they still let me schedule for this morning since I gone thru all that trouble (it was so far that I had to take a cab back)...ffwd to this mornin, have an appt 9am accordin to various sources only an hour travel to the new location left 745am, didn't get first bus til 830 second bus just as bad, needless to say I was an hour late, butt finally on the same block as the hair salon get a call saying the lady is booked for the day n she's just not gonna do my hair cuz I'm late...R U FCKIN kiddin me?! So basically they told me to take my ass back home. By the way, the hair dresser who wouldn't do my hair after all of that stress is TIA. I don't care about her skill level, what she did was extremely RUDE to a first time customer. But I'm fed up so I don wanna give them my money no way, they call again sayin someone else will do it, I'm stranded, tired, irritated n my hair is wild I had to go back, so they did my hair then charged $95, after all that ish(i have locs, charging $95 is on the high end, like u better b my one and only if i plan on payin over$100 includin tip...(Its good, but not that good) so I tipped a 5 actually 6 cuz I found another dollar in my purse, but I regret the tip thats how deep it is right now... (PS - apparently its not even 3510 scotts lane, its 3502 scotts lane - at the end of the day - WAS NOT WORTH ALL THAT STRESS!)

I was looking for someone to perform good lock maintenance, and couldnt find anyone. My neighbor told me about Duafe and I decided to venture into the unknown. All I had to go on was his hairstyle, & I was impressed. Let me first say that I made an appt & arrived 45mins late. I misunderstood the time. Not only did they take me and the owner (Syreeta) did my hair. Teresa started. Wow! When she was done, it was IMPRESSIVE. Here I am a week later (mind u my hair is not locked yet) & my hair is still holding. Atmosphere was nice, people were friendly, service was excellent & my experience was.....u know IMPRESSIVE. I found what I was looking for, and u will find it as well.

Okay, to be fair I must say that I have never actually visited this salon, but come on, how can a business that was featured in Philadelphia Mag not have an up and running website. I wanted to schedule an appointment, and decided to check out some pics online see the pricing, to my disappoinment "coming soon in 2009" was on every page. HUH?!! You have got to be kidding me.

I have very curly bi-racial hair, and i went in for a real simple trim and flat iron. For sixty bucks that would have been a good deal but it turned out terrible. its frizzy, and not really straight and poofy. Everyone was really polite but i will never go back or refer anyone there. Lesson learned......dont use philly's best website to pick a hair salon!

I have been my own natural hair stylist for many years. This salon was recommended to me by a friend. I made an appt for a consultation and was a little apprehensive. However, I was greeted by a very friendly, and professional staff. Being a bit nervous I requested that the consultation only be done for me by the owner. Needless to say, from the time I first met Syretta she displayed the skills of an ultimate professional. I was hooked and have enjoyed each and every experience at this salon. I've also had the opportunity to have other staff work with me and I must say, without a doubt everyone "knows their stuff"!
