The hodgepodge of products this South Street store carries — rechargeable batteries, pencils made from recycled bamboo, solar laptop bags, recycled plastic utensils, chic bamboo tops from EcoGear, and some locally crafted accessories — all have to pass Philly environmentalist Tony Fisher’s good-for-the-globe test, either by being made from repurposed materials or by conserving the Earth’s natural resources. And Fisher’s leading by example: The shop’s earth-tone palette, construction and decoration (fluorescent light bulbs and decor crafted from soda bottles and magazines) are all environmentally friendly. Sometimes it is easy being green.
From invigorating fitness classes, to educational seminars, to spa treatments, Philadelphia magazine's exhilarating all-day event for women will leave you feeling motivated, educated, and fit.
