WHAT WE’RE SHOPPING FOR: Nude Shoes

They’re in, they’re essential, and we’re on a mission to find the perfect pair. Here’s what we’re considering

By Carrie Denny

Whether this is a wise decision or not remains to be seen (with shopping sins that run so deep, it kinda feels like airing our dirty laundry), but from time to time we’ll be sharing with you, our shopping-obsessed readers, our, well, shopping obsessions. At any given time, any of us behind The Goods are on the hunt for some item or another to add to our closets or homes, and we figure you probably are, too! Maybe we can help each other. Share our finds, spread the love, and all that.

I’ll go first. I want a pair of nude shoes. I know they’re in this season, but that’s not even it. It’s that I have always been a fan of having a good arsenal of pieces in my wardrobe that are super-functional and utilitarian, and nude shoes are one of those basics. They go with everything, which means more bang for your buck. And it’s true what we said back in March — look at a girl wearing a dress and nude shoes, and you will be envious of her legs (unless you’re a guy, in which case you’ll just think she looks hot). So here it is, my obsessive browsing to find the ones I’ll trade my Visa for. Got something you’re on the prowl for? Share it with me at cdenny@phillymag.com.
