Apparently, it’s been a busy summer for local (female) entrepreneurs that've been opening up a ton of new boutiques. Here, a glimpse.

Old City has a new sweet spot called Sevilla Smith, which jives with its beloved neighbors (Vagabond Boutique, Lost+Found, Third Street Habit) by doing it’s own thang: Inside there’s a mix of all things that owner (and new mom) Faye Smith loves right now. Sophisticated women’s apparel from Ali Ro, The Battalion and French Connection, as well as adorable items for tots (approximately 80 percent of the kids lines are organic) from Nest, Kate Quinn Organics and Zutano. Oh, and don’t miss the dressing rooms because Faye — a former movie wardrobe stylist — decorated them like cute little garden tents.

Amy Bullock, the former buyer for Rittenhouse’s Optique has opened her own place in Media called Starry Eyed Optical, selling all the fun and funky glasses (Oliver Peoples, Orgreen, ic Berlin) and shades that anyone could want.

Old City’s Host — which has the most wonderful mix of contemporary and transitional (and always cozy) furniture and home accessories, as well as design services — is now located in Chestnut Hill. Don’t miss their 25-percent off, custom order sale.

Lastly, here’s something new and unusual: Back Nine Boutique is for the 25 percent of golfers out there who are chicks. This Doylestown store carries tons of apparel for stylish rounds as well as golf themed gifts and accessories.
