Fancy Footwork

Delaware's Peter Kate Shoe's is having a summer sale.

By Emily Gagne

Delaware can seem, well, pretty far. Especially for hardcore city-ites who have to sign up for PhillyCarShare every time they want to hop on a highway. But sometimes, a sale is worth the hike — especially when said sale is happening at Peter Kate Shoes, the teensy accessories shop packed with super-fun bags (Kooba, Rafe and Botkier) and baubles (Lauren G. Adams, Kalan and Vaubel).

But you really want to cross state lines for their shoes — Kate Spade heels, Tory Burch sandals, Loeffler Randall peeptoe pumps — most of which are a whopping 50-70 percent off, from now until mid-August. Our top reason to take the trip? Deliciously glamorous gold Bettye Muller Monte Carlo snake slingbacks — now 60-percent off of their original $395 price tag. They’ve also marked down this flirty pair of floral kitten heels with chocolate patent piping by 70 percent. If you’re still not sold, at least go to check out the shopping center it’s in — the supremely adorable (and Best of Philly winner!) Powder Mill Square. Trust us: A trip here is totally worth the price of gas.
