Chic Shopping
Two great stores to shop when you're down the Shore.
When I feel like a break from beaching, I head inland. Last weekend, I made my way to Chic Boutique and Chic Shoes. Both stores are in Northfield, a quick drive from Ocean City. Basically, their names say it all. These chic sister stores are a must-hit for weekenders and locals. The boutique’s got funky “going out” tops from Sky and ultra trendy denim from William Rast, Rich & Skinny and People’s Liberation. I snagged a mini dress from Veronica M., one of the summer’s hottest items.
Chic Shoes has brands like Donald J. Pliner and Beverly Feldman. The store has tons of different styles — pumps, wedges, sandals, flats — and colors to match your outfit perfectly, like BCBGirls Allegro Slingback in Fuxia shaded patent. After my shopping success, I have a feeling I’m going to be bored with my “weekend routine” more often.
