Top 5 Places to Buy Ornaments

Okay, we all have those ornaments — those been-in-the-family-forever cotton-ball snowmen and popsicle-stick elves you made when you were in kindergarten. While they have a rightful place on your Christmas tree (they are part of your history, after all), your entire tree need not be a blast from the past. Save a bough or two (or ten) for some updated, stylish ornaments, or get creative: I’m forgoing the holly branches this year and stringing my favorite super-chic ornaments on clear wire for a holiday-perfect fireplace mantel. Here are my top five go-to shops for fabulous ornaments (though, I admit, the cotton-ball snowmen are still pretty fab, too).
