Debut: Pants
By Ashley Primis
When men need to shop for anything but suits around here, their store options are limited. Which is something that Jon Segal, owner of brand-new Bryn Mawr store Pants, noticed when he was debating a career change. Now his passion for style (and enthusiasm for helping his Main Line neighbors stay dapper) has birthed a second-floor shop above stalwart ladies boutique Skirt. The streamlined space is filled with what Segal calls “Friday-through-Monday and casual-workday wear”: a slew of high-end denim, flat-front slacks from Theory, preppy-cool button-downs from Takel, lightweight jackets from Haus of Howe, skin care from the Art of Shaving, and this jet-setter overnight satchel from Japanese designer Hideo Wakamatsu ($200). Snap it up while your wheels get waxed for a quick weekend getaway at the car wash next door. 931 Lancaster Avenue, second floor, Bryn Mawr, 610-527-6900, shop-pants.com.
