2 oz. applejack
3/4 oz. grenadine (preferably homemade)
1/2 oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice (filtered, for the most elegant presentation)
2 dashes of Peychaud's bitters
In an ice-filled cocktail shaker, combine all ingredients and shake thoroughly. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a twist of lemon.
