Forget Mrs. T's. Eastern Europe's dumpligs go gourmet at Roxborough's Pierogie Kitchen, where the 25 unusual options, sold frozen by the dozen, venture far beyond the traditional potato (though the potato pierogies here are the best in town) to such esoterica as spinach with Jack cheese, sauerkraut, and blue crab. For dessert: sweet potato, blueberry or prune.

This little corner shop is so cute and smells amazing from a block away. The staff is friendly and very patient...as The Pierogie Kitchen has over 25 varieties of pierogies and many other different eastern european foods. I was surprised by the amount of vegitarian items they had. I decided on a sandwich that came with pierogies on it...I think it was called the spicy chicken. It was fabulous!!!! i highly recomend this place to anyone and everyone!! Posted by marie: Mar. March 16th, 2011 at 10:58 AM
