Tex-Mex and Southwestern cuisine — think Rio Grande red Texas-style chili — is paired with premium tequilas at this proudly family-owned North Wales restaurant with bright blue awnings and a desert-scape decor. It’s the combination of house-made chips and salsa and neon margaritas that fuels karaoke on Tuesday and open mike the third Thursday of each month.

If you like getting bum-rushed for tripping over your shoelaces this is the pace for you. BTW THE FOOD SUCKS AND THE SERVICE IS LOUSLY!!! Posted by Ed: May. May 28th, 2011 at 2:28 AM

I must say that I am disappointed to see a bad review about this place. Ive been going there for the past 6 years and each and everytime Im there, the service gets better and better. Im very impressed in how Ive seen the same people working there over the years. That means that the owner must take care of her employees which entales, great service. Ive lived in south Texas and had my fair share of mexican food and I must say, I love that this place is authentic, not just with the food but, the atmosphere. That makes a great impression on me and my family... Posted by andy: Sep. September 15th, 2008 at 12:31 PM

My first dining experiance at Tex Mex was over the holidays for a corporate Christmas party. I had been to the bar for happy hour and the amazing margaritas, but was unaware of the upstairs dining room. I was so impressed the entire experiance, I recently returned for dinner with my friends and family for my wife's birthday. Once again, we had a pleasent server, who was very accomodating, and made great recommendations from their menu. You have to try their Crab Burrito! We couldn't have been more pleased with our overall dining experiance. My wife even got to wear a sombrero during dessert for her birthday! It was like a little piece of Mexico, right here in North Wales. Posted by Jaydon: Feb. February 29th, 2008 at 12:21 AM

I can't believe how great the food is and how reasonably priced. Super friendly staff and a fun atmosphere make this a winner every time for me and my friends. Posted by Katy: Feb. February 28th, 2008 at 4:50 PM

Still great after all these years. I've been coming here with my wife for over ten years since we moved to the area. Food ranges from the traditional to a rotating seasonal menu and offers something for everyone. Of course the margaritas speak for themselves and staff is one of the friendliest around. We continue to visit regularly Posted by david: Feb. February 18th, 2008 at 12:15 PM

I was very excited to see a mexican restaurant so close to work, but I was diappointed when I went. The food was BLAND and the restaurant smelled like stale beer. Posted by Maya: Jan. January 22nd, 2008 at 7:19 PM
