There were some who were worried that the collaboration between Stephen Starr and Aimee Olexy would result in some kind of over-produced mess of a restaurant, with both the Olexy’s food and the Starr’s theatre being watered down by the meddling of the other. The good news? No one has any cause to worry because Talula’s Garden works on all levels and has already risen to stand among the best restaurants in Philadelphia.

Bad experience with Duck

We visited Talula's Garden last Friday. We had reservations for 2 and were told there was a wait for the outside. A young girl instead took us to a bad table near the kitchen. We protested and were moved. We thought the restaurant was lovely and were happy to start our dining experience. My husband ordered the rabbit appetizer and duck entree. He was very disappointed with the duck which was very undercooked and chewy. He was up with the runs the entire night. I was quite annoyed with the first seating and to pay a high price for a meal that makes you sick.
