With the local steakhouse market oversaturated, Table 31 switched up its game. Now, chef/owner Chris Scarduzio’s Comcast Center restaurant is focused on Italian. And while service is the restaurant’s Achilles’ heel, affordable dishes like handmade pastas  and a tender broiled octopus appetizer show off Scarduzio’s standards for quality cooking. Grab a seat on the lively outdoor plaza in warmer months.

I suppose it's my fault really, for expecting a fair review of Table 31 in a magazine with a giant Butcher and Singer ad on the back cover. But what Joy Manning gave her readers instead was a lot more about herself than about the restaurant she was reviewing. "Dated decor and cheesy photographs"? I'm sorry that you feel that way, Joy, but did you think at any point that readers might want to hear about how the food actually, you know, tastes? Our intrepid reviewer revives an old Philly Mag beef with Chefs Perrier and Scarduzio, complains about the menu's lack of focus, and rips what by all accounts is a fine design composed by one of our city's elite firms. She never had time to make it to the food. For the record, my wife and I have been to Table 31 three times and will keep a standing bi-weekly reservation some of the best steaks in a city full of them. I suppose the day we see an ad for the restaurant in your magazine we will find a review that makes note of them.

Disappointing experience for the cost. Our bill was about $600 for 4 people. The decor is amazing but that is all I can say that was worth it for this place. We noticed besides the booths the tables are in such close proximity - you can hear everyone's conversations. Its a steakhouse and they didn't get a single temp right!!! They messed up the sides and service was just ok. I would expected better for the price. Overpriced - will wear out

I was expecting great food, great environment and great service. The entree and appetizers were delivered together, and my fish was below room temperature. The lettuce from my salad was wilted and is tastier out of an iceberg bag from the grocery store. Everything was below average, George Pierre should be embarrassed. I would NEVER recommend Table 31, nor would I ever go back (except for a cocktail)

I went there for my birthday with a party of 8 people looking forward to a great night, good food, and decent service...what I got was disappointing to say the least. The food was horrible, especially for how pricey it was...everyone got something different on the menu and NO ONE was satisfied. The food arrived cold to the table, it had no flavor and I might as well have gone to a low priced chain restaurant and had a better meal. The waiter was flustered and forgot to get one of my friend's orders. We had to practically yell to get the server's attention; he wasnt there when we needed him (and no one had any outlandish requests, we just wanted to give our drink and food orders!) We felt rushed and when we got the bill of $550+ we were angry. We are trying to spread the word in order to help others avoid such an unfortunate experience.
