Standard Tap’s local-microbrew taps, thoughtfully selected wines and rocking jukebox make it appealing just as a bar. But the Tap is also the Philadelphia equivalent of a Parisian bistro: a casual, comfortable place for quality food and drink. The blackboard menu describes the offerings in one or two words: Squid, Smelts, Duck Salad. But behind the restrained terminology are exuberant flavors.

This place would be a great place to go and enjoy better-than-normal bar food with local brewed beers...if the wait staff took the sticks out of their a**es. The service each and everytime got worse and worse, to the point where this Northern Liberties resident has completely abandoned the place, never to return again. Try Azure, it's great!

I ate there about a month ago with a friend. The food was just ok, no big deal. We had apps, salads, entrees and dessert as well as microbrews. After dinner we decided to have another beer before moving and were asked by waitstaff if we could move to another table so that they could put a large group together. I found it quite rude and will not be returning.

The service was atrocious, silverware dirty. No spoon with soup and had to get up to finally get it. Wrong beer order. Rabbit tasteless, lamb sandwich too dry. Tuna tartare great.Portions big. How could this place be rated #11?
