Spring Garden's Silk City has been resurrected. The man behind ultimate Northern Liberties hangout N. 3rd, owner Mark Bee, stayed mostly true to the spot's diner roots (minus the grease scrubbed from the kitchen). Cocktails have replaced milkshakes at the counter-turned-red-lit-bar, and you'll find diner classic cuisine that has been given more thought: the cheese fries are hand-cut and served with a chipotle catsup, a burger comes in a tuna variety, and there's plenty for non-meat eaters.
