A Collingswood standard, this warm, cheerful Italian BYOB serves up homey pastas — rigatoni with flavorful duck ragu, cheese tortellini in a pea-dotted mushroom sauce — in an unpretentious dining room. You know you are in good hands when a meal starts with a bread accompanied by an irresistible zucchini-and-parmesan puree in place of pedestrian olive oil, and ends with a complimentary sip of limoncello. (And you'll marvel at the waiter as he drinks a shot of the potent digestif with each table.)

This is a lovely little place, with the look of an Italian courtyard. I've been here a dozen times and never been disappointed . . . eating, at various times, pastas, chicken dishes, veal and Eggplant Parmigiano. Always a treat, and the staff are very pleasant and efficient. A real winner.

Franco Lombardo's Sapori (Italian for for "tastes" or "flavors") is aptly named. This is my local restaurant. The menu sets the standard from whole fish prepared tableside to an incredible duck breast ragu that is simple and superb. The specials are always original - from rabbit or skate to perfectly prepared beef, you will inevitably be surprised and delighted. Open for lunch & dinner & has a great prix fixe option. Keep your options open as the limoncello may be orangecello or choclocello on any given night. Buon appetito!
