Olive was an ideal place for me to host a small birthday party (13 people) on a busy Friday night - great food, no restrictions on menu, length of stay, etc. The owner and staff went out of their way to make it very successful. They offered a warm welcome, arranged the seating thoughtfully, responded promptly to every request, provided fine food, and produced a surprise birthday cake dessert for everyone. It could not have been better. Posted by Brighid: May. May 26th, 2011 at 11:20 AM

the only good reviews (on any website) have to be from the staff or friends of the staff because it is not possible for any one to have more than a mediore experience here. the staff is completely unprofessional. just look at the latest review on here...written by their "bookeeper", yet it is so illegible, that i will be surprised if anyone can actually follow what its saying.
yeah free dessert with every meal is always nice, but it just seems like they are bribing their customers into coming back again by doing that. Posted by Doug: Nov. November 17th, 2010 at 12:21 PM

After the display they put on-- or shall I say serious lack of display and total disrespect-- at a wedding I attending this past Friday 10/29, I am SICKENED by the positive comments for this place. They completely RUINED what is supposed to be the happiest day in a couples life. You couldn't pay me to step foot in this establishment or even consider them.
The situation they put this couple in is beyond anything I have ever witnessed, they put worry and guilt on their plate-- not food because they RAN out and had no explanation or even compassion for the fact that they F'd up--big time. WEDDING GUEST--WONDERFUL WEDDING GUEST/FRIENDS-- had to go out to provide food for guest because again they ***RAN OUT OF FOOD ***all within not even 15 minutes of putting out. The food which they put out was luke warm with not burners to keep it warm, and was nothing like what was discussed with the couple.
The staff that was provided was rude not to mention the fact that they were people to whom the couple had never met with and the cater wasnt even there, when this disgrace was going on the couple tried to call and of course go no one. When asked what happened and what was going to be done, it was said that nothing could be done. Meanwhile you have wedding guest preparing food while the catering staff cleaned up what they had brought in. Then to top off the evenings events the COPS showed upWhat a way to ruin a wedding. UNBELIEVIBLE!!!!!!!!!
I could go on, hopefully if you are considering this establishment, you take this couples experience into considerationconsidering spending your money on someone with a heart and not just money signs in mind. Posted by P'd: Nov. November 1st, 2010 at 12:40 PM

We used Olive on 3rd to caterer our wedding. Simply, we were robbed! We had given them a head count & they failed to supply enough food, not even 15-30min. into "service" they ran out of food. When we spoke to the staff about the situation they said there was nothing they could do. We ended up having to order pizza & a few amazing friends whipped up some food-DURING THE EVENT! The caterer we had booked the event with never showed up but sent rude & unprepared staff to handle an event we had been planning for months! The food they did serve was cold, overcooked, & dry. They had no prob. asking for our budget to be paid up by the date of the event but certainly provided NOTHING of what they promised. They broke various contracts & I am sad to say the high regard that we had been portraying them to be before our wedding! We have yet to even be contacted for reimbursement of the food we had to purchase they day of!! They are horrible & I can NOT & will NOT recommend them to anyone! Posted by Isabel: Nov. I would not reccomend this place for catering. I was a guest at a wedding that took place this past Friday evening. Olive on 3rd catered and the food was cold. There were not burners lit. And the worst of it all is that they ran out of food for the guests. What a way to ruin a couples' special day. So please DO NOT DO NOT use this place for any of your events Posted by liliana: Oct.
