Southern hospitality is on the menu at Ms. Tootsie’s. The waiters and waitresses call everyone by name: Honey, Sweetheart, Darling. “Tootsie” is owner Keven Parker’s mother, Joyce, whose cooking inspired this BYOB. The kitchen serves up all kinds of fried (chicken, whiting, catfish) and smothered (turkey wings, pork chops) with okra, candied yams and collard greens on the side. Every meal starts with hot biscuits and ends with a Tootsie Pop.
