Caesars’ incarnation of this national chain masters the classic, upscale, meat-and-potatoes formula, beginning with dark wood, crisp linens and substantial cuts of beautifully marbled flesh. But what sets this steakhouse apart from its capable and copious brothers-in-beef are: 1) its easy-to-find street-level entrance (a bonus for those of us who’d rather not get lost among the slots on our way to a shrimp cocktail) and 2) seafood. Sure, there are daunting double porterhouses and delicate filet mignons (both seared at temperatures of up to a whopping 1,200˚ Fahrenheit) and multiform potatoes. But don’t miss the lobster, as incarnated in a downright meaty cocktail, or baked whole, cut up, with a boat of drawn butter, and served most glamorously on a silver platter.
