A former concession stand in Cooper River Park has become the Lobster Trap, an exceedingly friendly seafood restaurant with an abundance of rosebushes rimming a large outdoor terrace. It’s not fancy, but there’s no need to fancy up fresh grilled salmon, sautéed mussels, or Maine lobster plucked from the tank. When one is tucked into a terrace table, watching sailboats on the water and kids flying kites along the shore, it’s easy to forget that lunch is over and it’s time to get back to work.

What a joke misleading all the way. The ad says spacious deck haha it's a broken down porch the view it's not sail boats it's people throwing rocks at the geese so disturbing and then you have flies landing all over your food while you eat. the food sucks and the place dirty. We had 5 adults and three children and our bill was 285.00 about and i left hungry. SO DON'T DO IT. Posted by kathyann: Jun. June 30th, 2011 at 2:40 AM

My husband and I make it a point to dine here we want a quaint romantic atmosphere where you see couples enjoying each other. The food has always been hot and fresh. We have only had great experiences when we have visited and we plan on eating here many more times. Very delicious and filling. Highly recommend for a romantic atmosphere! Posted by Yolonda: Aug. This was the worst meal that I have ever had in the state of NJ. The food was cold, bland and overpriced. The service was average. The restaurant itself is rundown and dilapidated with weeds for landscaping. The only plus is the view of the Cooper River. Posted by Rebecca: Jun. June 15th, 2010 at 7:46 PM

This is actually a very nice place to eat. I've eaten there several time and love it. The food is good, service friendly, and atmosphere is wonderful. I recommend the Lobster Trap. Posted by Summer: Jun. June 14th, 2010 at 1:45 PM

We chose this restaurant for Mothers day 2010. Big mistake. The salad had no dressing, the potato was ice cold, the serving portion was way small for the price, and he desert was bought, not made there. All of it was way over priced.
There were also illegal immigrant workers there, putting Legal Americans out of work. Posted by William: May. May 11th, 2010 at 1:36 PM
