The food served at this UCity restaurant is bursting with elements Mexican lovers expect (salsa, fundido, ceviche) combined with well-picked ingredients (ahi tuna, black tiger shrimp) and slow-cooked goodness, as in the homemade moles. But it’s the cheery, artistic vibe, from the hand-painted chairs to the carved wooden art, that makes this a neighborhood staple. Of course, the tequila flights, fresh squeezed margaritas and well-priced speciality cocktails don’t hurt.
