Our Children gave a Date Night at LaCucina for a Christmas gift. The evening while not 100% perfect was delightful, entertaining, and something we will do again. There were 20 of us (10 couples), and we all got along very well, due to the personalities of Chef Jason and assistant Mia. We all got to assist, were given many tips, and ate a wonderful meal. One couple was informed that they had not confirmed their reservation, but rather than send them away, room was made for them....we were all grateful for that type of hospitality. If you don't have fun at LaCucina, it is probably because you are not making your own fun in a crowd of strangers. La Cucina is great....Thanks Anna Posted by Tom: Feb. February 4th, 2013 at 3:01 PM

An absolutely disappointment. Anna (and her recipes) are not great, despite the hype. The class size was huge (in a tiny room) and most of us never got to try the cooler techniques. My girlfriend spent most of the class mixing a single pot of sauce. Honestly, it was pretty boring, and definitely a waste of money. There are cheaper cooking classes in the city, look for those. La Cucina is a good idea in theory, but turned out to be more trouble than its worth. The owner is very slow to respond to inquiries, leading one to send multiple emails before receiving a response about signing up for a class After multiple failed attempts at attending a class (including us showing up for a class that had apparently been canceled, but nobody notified us), she offered a reimbursement for our gift card. Nearly two months have gone by, and despite sending her multiple emails, we have yet to receive this promised reimbursement. I would not recommend this to anybody. Posted by Anita: Sep. Cooking at La Cucina at the Market is sooo much fun! We laughed, we chopped, we tasted, and we ended up learning how to create some pretty fantastic dishes. Anna brings her "big Italian family" to life as she passes along the secrets of generations of cooks. I have been back again and again. Posted by virginia: Aug. August 10th, 2009 at 3:08 PM

Like perfectly paired wine and cheese, Anna Florio gracefully combines learning and fun at La Cucina's cooking classes. With guided hands-on instruction, and real time feedback (you actually get to taste the fruits of your labor!), you are sure to have a deliciously educational culinary experience. I certainly did!
