An operating inn since the 1680s, the King George II Inn’s American-Continental restaurant attracts diners with house specialties such as Maryland-style crabcakes with fennel-caper remoulade, filet mignon topped with crab meat and a cabernet sauce, and a lighter menu in the Lafayette Tavern.
Review
Len and Mary Demenczuk (former owners from 1979-2004) have returned and brought the Inn back to its former glory. After selling the Inn in 2004 they travelled but were disappointed that the Inn's reputation did not remain as when they owned it. They have recently returned and the food and service is again just wonderful. Riverfront tables, piano bar, valet parking and a wonderful menu with half and full portion entrees make this Inn a wonderful place for lunch or dinner.
Open now 7 days a week. Call and ask for a riverfront table. Posted by MJ: Dec. December 26th, 2011 at 6:28 PM
