The Happy Rooster has a new chef: Brendan Dougherty. Happily, though, little at the stuck-in-time spot has changed. The blackboard menu still boasts comfortable favorites — come for the satisfying, if unsurprising, takes on items like spaghetti Bolognese and fried calamari; truffled chicken wings are too adventurous — and the wine list remains hand-scrawled in a loose-leaf binder.
