Profile

Once, there was Ukrainian rose petal and Puerto Rican banana brandy; now, there’s just the “Jersey Sunrise” as Gerenser’s reopens after a flood-forced hiatus. But until the ice-cream-making equipment is repaired, we’ll happily watch the sunrise: creamy vanilla ice cream, heavy with bing cherry halves, painted with wide streaks of fudge.

Quoted in this article as saying that Global Warming is nonsense based on faulty science: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090327/ap_on_re_us/earth_hour Sounds a bit like the flat earth people. That said, let's just say for the sake of argument that you are right. Do you deny that resources on this earth are inherently scarce? Do you care nothing for your grandchildren, and their children? Even if global warming *was* an invention, there is no denying that this precious earth contains finite resources, and squandering them will really hurt future generations. You are truly a selfish person, and I wish you would live long enough to see their suffering.

You can bet... Ill be telling everyone not to frequent your establishment! Shame on you for teaching people to continue to waste in this day of environmental issues! You're no different than AIG execs with their bonuses! Mary Donofrio

THE OWNER OF THIS ICE CREAM SHOP, GERENSER’S EXOTIC ICE CREAM, HAS DECIDED DURING “EARTH HOUR” ON SATURDAY 4/28/09 THAT INSTEAD OF TURNING OFF OR DIMMING HIS LIGHTS, HE IS GOING TO GET EXTRA “THEATRICAL LIGHTING” AND ENCOURAGE ALL OF HIS NEIGHBORS TO TURN ON EVERY POSSIBLE LIGHT IN THEIR HOMES BECAUSE HE BELIEVES IT IS “ABSURD” AND THAT GLOBAL WARMING IS BASED ON FAULTY SCIENCE!?!?! IF YOU LOVE THE EARTH, AND YOU DON’T WANT THE OCEANS TO FLOOD YOUR ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD THEN MAYBE WE SHOULD NOT SUPPORT THIS GUY’S BUSINESS. THIS MAN IS 56, HE DOESN’T CARE BECAUSE IN 20-30 YEARS HE’LL BE GONE, AND THAT’S WHEN THE REAL EFFECTS WILL BE CLEARLY SEEN. DON’T SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS THAT DOESN’T CARE ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT AND WOULD RATHER MAKE MONEY NOW, AND IGNORE THE CONSEQUENCES. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090327/ap_on_re_us/earth_hour
