Fleming's bills itself as a steakhouse and wine bar. This area knows chain steakhouses: Meat is meat, cooked as ordered and gargantuan. What's novel is the wine bar. Instead of starchy sides, clutter your table with the twisting black trellises that hold the bar's wine flights. The 100-ish wines-by-the-glass list — with its accessible descriptions and an incredibly fair pricing structure that doesn't penalize those buying two-ounce "tastes" — is ideal for experimenting.
Review
A bit pricey but we will go back to Flemings I can see visiting the bar for a lighter dinner and a glass of wine in stead of the main dining room.
Food: 4.5 / 5 With the exception of my steak not being precisely as ordered the food was spot on.
Atmosphere: 3.5 / 5 background music a little loud other than that, a great place for a meal as a couple or with a larger group.
Service: 5 / 5 Perfect my water glass was never less than half full and Erin was just attentive enough.
Take the kids?: Maybe Mine arent really carnivores, so a steak place is not high on their list.
Price: $$$$ Just north of $200 for two of us including the bar tab and tip we wont be visiting regularly, but it is a nice date place thank goodness for that gift card.
