Famous Dave’s brims with chain-restaurant cheer, generated by clean-cut servers who introduce themselves, without embarrassment, as Famous Mark or Famous Heather. They’ll pull up a chair and softly up-sell food and drinks, smiling all the while. They’ll stop by your table too often, but they’ll be nice to your kids. First-timers are urged to try one of the “feast” dinners, samplers of hickory-smoked meats and sides sized for sharing, served on inverted trash-can lids covered with red-and-white-checked paper. Expect mild-mannered barbecue with an emphasis on sweet flavors.

One of my friends took me here to Famous Daves for a bit of Philly BBQ last night and it was soooo gooood! I have never been a big fan of American BBQ but this was unforgettable. I will definitely be back. Posted by Lilita: Mar. March 10th, 2011 at 12:25 PM

My friends just gave me a surprise party at Famous Daves and the food was absolutely incredible. We had a combination of their ribs/chicken & smoked meats. The roasted chicken was so crispy and delicious on the outside and when I broke open the skin it actually made a crackling sound and revealed a tender, savory and crazy succulent experience! I would never order chicken in a restaurant, considering all the other options out there, but this was one of the most memorable meals I've ever had. Such a variety of great southern specialties. Gotta love the sauces (we got a sauce tour that was so delicious and fun) and I am going to make this my new favorite place to eat & celebrate. P.S. The serving staff was amazing and the managers very attentive and friendly. I'll be coming back for more of everything very soon. Posted by Layla: Jan. January 28th, 2011 at 1:03 PM

Famous Daves really has established a level of quality and service that is lacking or definitely inconsistent in so many local BBQ restaurants. The flavors look, taste and feel like "home" cooked and its the REAL McCoy - Smoked in-house daily and always grilled to perfection. LOVE their ribs, spicy green beans and the brisket sandwich is to die for everytime. FAMOUS DAVES IS COMFORT FOOD HEAVEN! Posted by sam: Jan. January 28th, 2011 at 12:54 PM

This BBQ does not disappoint. My husband and I love to go here for special occassions - not only is the food always delicious, the service is always spectacular. Most of the food is prepared on site and it shows - we even got to meet one of the cooks on one of our visits and we talked to him about how much time goes into preparing all the different items. YUM YUM BBQ! Posted by Annie: Jan. January 7th, 2011 at 2:38 PM
