Daddypops, a whimsical diner in thriving Hatboro, has a counter anchored at each corner by a barber’s chair, a mismatched collection of coffee mugs and cooks who yell out to the old, tired help such admonitions as “Dottie, do your sidework!” And the breakfast is superb: “Eggs in bull’s-eye”—two pieces of toast with holes cut in the center into which two eggs are cracked, with the whole mess grilled and served with creamy grits—is a delight.
