Profile

Da Vinci restaurant occupies the old Tre Scalini space, across the singing fountain where Tasker, 11th and Passyunk meet. The family-run restaurant serves up Italian fare that spans Northern-style roasts to Southern-style pastas and red sauce. Try the hearty pork ragu or one of the daily seafood specials, but save room for the house-made cheesecake.

Good? Yes. Great, no way. This place isn't even in the top 10 BYO's in Philly. Pork chop, that the whole staff raves about was tough, chewy and needed a lot of pressure with a steak knife to cut through it. Halibut was a much better dish. Not worth going back.

I used to live in South Philly 10 years ago, we know live about an hour away north, me and my wife come back down about 3 times a year to try different restaurants, we tried Da Vinci's when it first opened 2 years ago and loved ever since ,and now only go there. The food and service is great, the price is fair , byb is the only thing ,which is fine. But if you get a chance to eat outside in the patio (yard), it's really different with it's glass art work. Also the owner and Chef Francesco is a very nice person.

my husband and I went last evening for the first time.the staff was attentive but not intrusive.Vincenzo's delivery of menu was excellent as well as entertaining.Last but by no means the food-Presentation was not overly done, portions were perfect, the pasta dish was excellent, not overcooked, bright, vibrant and fresh. The desserts that we chose will probably send at least me to heaven as well as the gym. Loved the place,Can't wait to return.

My wife and I visited Da Vinci last week after a friend/business associate of ours highly reccomended we try it. We both must say it was very good. The service was very attentive, the food was very good. One thing is we would like to see a broader menue but we will be back. I should mention we eat out at least once a week and eat well at home so we feel we know food. To the people there keep up the great work we had a great meal see you next time! Vince & Kelly
