For a quarter of a century, Carlino's has been an Ardmore mainstay, the place to buy hard-to-find olive oils and classy pasta sauces. But it will always be the selection of homey Italian prepared foods — especially the late Mama Carlino's chicken and gorgonzola lasagna — that makes this an everyday stop.

I just read the review posted by Craig about Carlino's Hoagies. I've been shopping and enjoying Carlino's foods for over 20 years. My family LOVES their hoagies! I know for a fact that their bread is baked fresh on premises daily, and the reason the hoagies are pre-made at lunchtime is because you'd have to wait a half hour to have it done as you wait in line. And I also know that they will gladly make any sandwich to order if you walk in and are willing to wait. So, Kudos to Carlinos for winning the WIP contest--because their Hoagies are the BEST!!!!

Review
I recently went to the Ardmore store based on the Carlino's victory in the 610WIP Hoagie Contest, what a disappointment. Their lunch time hoagies were pre made and clearly sat in the cooler long enough for the bread to be soggy, lettuce was stale and the meat was cut too thick. This place clearly focuses more on advertising then on the product.
