Burgers are the main sell at this tattoo-themed, quick-serve Bryn Mawr eatery, and indeed, the patties—which come singly or double-stacked, topped with anything from A-1 to grilled onions to a fried egg, on a soft Martin’s bun—are greaseless, fresh, and hit-the-spot good. But it was the spicy/smoky flavors of the chili, which, along with Whiz, is piled on freshly cut fries, that lingered in our memory long after we left. (No wonder Villanova kids are requesting the chili on the burgers and dogs, too.) Insider tip: The stellar sweet-potato and regular fries are cooked up in canola oil, not the allergy-and-kid-unfriendly peanut oil other burger spots use.

Saw the article in the magazine and tried it for lunch today. The bacon cheeseburger was really good, not overly greasy. Had chili cheese fries and they were amazing. Portion sizes are good and they do a lunch special during the week that knocks a couple bucks off your meal. Will definitely be back Posted by Tim: Mar. March 3rd, 2010 at 2:26 PM

The food here reminds me a lot of In and Out Burger on the west coast. I grew up in California, ate at In and Out all the time, and this takes me back. I can even get an unofficial 4x4 here, and if I ask nicely they'll make it "Animal Style" too. Cool place. Posted by Bill: Mar. March 3rd, 2010 at 9:38 AM

I go here every weekend after the bar closes, this place is awesome! So much quicker than the few alternatives we have, and the food is much better too. Posted by Joe: Mar. March 3rd, 2010 at 9:35 AM

The brgrs are great, and so are the fries, but the bean brgrs are awesome if you're a vegetarian. Also the best turkey burger I've ever had Posted by Franklin: Mar. March 3rd, 2010 at 8:00 AM

we go here all the time, the food here is great , I like the fried egg option. Counter service is usually fast and always friendly. Atmosphere is a little more laid back than your chain places. Posted by Greig: Mar. March 3rd, 2010 at 7:57 AM

My wife & I have gone there since they opened. Their burgers and fries are outstanding. No frozen meat and frsh cut fries everyday. Make the burger the way you want it with all of the fixings they offer. We go there even though we live in Bucks county, it is worth the drive. Posted by Ken: Feb. February 27th, 2010 at 1:26 PM

We loved the amount of toppings to choose from, it's like building your own burger. The service was quick and friendly and our little one had a clean high chair to get comfy in. Great family place to eat! Posted by Kelly: Feb. February 27th, 2010 at 10:29 AM
