Profile

The iconic Big Easy dishes—jambalaya, dirty rice, blackened shrimp—are, naturally, on the menu at this spacious N’awlins-themed Manayunk eatery and bar. But chef Mark Ziebis has also taken those recognizable Cajun flavors and added them to more Continental entrées, as in his butter pecan sauce served over tilapia, and flash-fried cornmeal-dusted oysters. The experience is completed, minus the humidity and the beads, by a heady Hurricane cocktail and the Crescent City soundtrack of live jazz, blues and funk featured in the canal-level lounge.

I dined at the Bourbon Blue with three others on Saturday, April 26, 2008. The atmosphere was terrific as was the service and food. The server was friendly, professional and very attentive. It was a very nice evening and I would wholeheartly recommend it.
