Bobby's Burger Palace
Profile
Bobby Flay’s empire reaches the City of Brotherly Love. At this University City spot, order from a menu of ten delicious burgers that run the culinary gamut from Philly (Whiz, onions and hot peppers) to Dallas (Monterey Jack, coleslaw and BBQ sauce) to L.A. (cheddar, avocado relish, and watercress). The buns are old-school sesame seed; the patties, juicy, grill-flavored, and exceptionally well seasoned. For sides, add the crispy, slightly spicy fries or one of the rich milkshakes.

I expect alot from a new burger joint that displays Flay's name in a South Beach orange and yellow. The "Crunchburger" lacks originality. The appeal is lost when you bite into a juicy, pink-centered burger that has Lay's potato chips thrown on top!! Philly created "the crunch layer" on a sandwich! Upon reading the menu, my expectation led me to visualize biting into a thick cut, ultra-crispy, salted potato chip that is in stark contrast to the juicy burger that lies beneath. Additionally, the menu boasts "double american cheese". I don't know about you, but when a sandwich has two times the cheese, it should envelop the burger. Instead, it looked like I was cheated on that aspect as well. Dont make me issue you a throwdown.
