The words "Dilworthtown Inn" are often intoned with all the solemnity the West Chester restaurant's $71 chateaubriand demands. The same won't be true for Blue Pear Bistro, housed in the inn's former general store. The American bistro exudes a refreshing air of permission, and the kitchen has a modern edge with whimsical offerings like upscaled chicken nuggets touched with white truffle.

I've eaten at the Blue Pear many times due to it's convenient location. Love the decor and general vibe, but the menu is very limited and does not change. The soup of the day was the same for my last 3 visits! Customer service is very weak. I expect better for the prices charged for "lite dinner fare." Stick to the bar and a quick bite to eat. Don't recommend it for a full dining experience. Posted by Jill: Mar. March 15th, 2008 at 3:03 PM

An innovative, yet comforting menu. The pumpkin soup special was incredible, and I can't wait to have another serving of the berry cheesecake flan. Highly recommended! Posted by Lisa: Dec. December 18th, 2007 at 9:47 AM

A fun twist to the local bistro. Loved the modern twist on the bacon & egg salad but my husband thought the cheeseburger was the best he has had in a very long time. Posted by Robin: Oct. October 30th, 2007 at 12:08 PM

This is the much awaited local bar for us, within walking distance if Brinton's Bridge weren't a high speed shortcut to 202. The menu features small plates, very small, and is innovative if still uneven.Trying an assortment of interesting menu offeri Posted by Laurie: Oct. October 24th, 2007 at 1:59 PM
