#45 on the 2008 Philly Mag 50

It faces stiff tapas competition from darling Amada. But putting this polished and trendy dining room in naturally easygoing Northern Liberties was one of many wise moves. Then there’s the food: all the fun and flavors we crave, with rustic authenticity. Dishes averaging $6 aren’t delicate, and the menu is peppered with crave-able fried and cheese-filled options.

Haing just returned from Spain I was excited to dive in and try some of the areas tapas places. Bar Ferdinand is a great neighborhood gem. Not perfect but almost. Try the fried manchego cheese for a forbidden fried treat. The atmosphere was really charming and the service was great, friendly and welcoming! Definately will return.
