After reading the recent reviews, my friends and I were concerned about eating here but we decided to give it a try because of a referral by other friends. Our concerns were validated by the poor service, forgetful servers and lack of attention. But when it came time for dessert that was the icing on the cake! We asked what they had for dessert and we were told only green tea ice cream. We were hoping for more of a selection, as the other sushi restaurants have, but we ordered it anyway because we wanted something sweet. While eating some of the most unflavorful and boring ice cream, we noticed the table next to us was being served chocolate cake. We questioned their server and she responded that it was their last piece. We were surprised because we ordered first but we let it go. It wasnt until 5 minutes later that the table behind us got chocolate cake too. We then called over our server who now explained to us that the owner only makes it for his friends and special customers. We then asked to speak to the owner. The owner did not come over. We had to go over to him. We were very nice in asking why we werent given the choice of anything other than ice cream. He reiterated that he only gives it to his special customers and still wouldnt part with a slice of chocolate cake. He was very firm and we were made to feel unwelcome, insulted and angry by his pompous attitude. I understand giving your special customers dessert for free, but everyone should be given the choice since we were happy to pay. This attitude permeated the restaurant and we will never go back. Who needs to be treated like that? We knew it was a BYOB but we didn't realize it was a BYOC!
