Bitar’s is justifiably famous for its falafel, but the chicken kabob sandwiches aren’t the end of the delicious offerings. Next time you’re around 10th and Federal, check out Bitar’s pastry case. Most sweets here are based on filo, nuts and aromatic flavorings like rose water. Try the Burma (a treat made from shredded pastry dough), the walnut baklava, or the mini rose-and-pine-nut pastry.
