Where We're Eating: Margaret Kuo’s
This Main Line favorite may have opened in 1974, but the recently launched menu of bold, uncommon Shanghai dishes proves Kuo’s still inspired. You might steer clear of the flavorful but squeamishly textured pickled duck tongue and instead opt for the giant “Lion’s Head” pork meatball, the soup-filled dumplings (hard to find in Philly), the subtly spicy Shanghai shrimp, and the vitamin-packed sautéed mountain yams with greens. Don’t worry; you can still get your General Tso’s chicken on. Insider tip: Drink a pot of tea with your meal; the tea service is superb. Available at the Wayne and Granite Run locations.
