Still weighing your options for New Year's Eve? Act fast to snag a seating at these top area restaurants

Alma de Cuba: Have some salsa with your meal at Stephen Star’s Alma de Cuba: Al Aguilera's Salsa Band plays while you feast on a menu of Latin American eats. Call 215-988-1799 to make a reservation.

5 p.m. seating: three-course prix fixe, $45.

Brasserie Perrier: Whether you go for the four-course or six-course menu, Perrier’s Rittenhouse restaurant doesn’t skimp on the choices. Call 215-568-3000 to make a reservation.

5:30 to 6:30 p.m. seating: four-course meal, glass of champagne, $65.
7:30 to 9:30 p.m. seating: six course meal, glass of champagne, $120.


Bliss: Bliss offers pre- and post-theater seatings for those planning to catch a show along the Avenue of the Arts. Call 215-731-1100 to make a reservation.

5 p.m. seating: four-course meal, $55.
8:30 p.m. seating: four-course meal, complimentary champagne toast, $85.


City Tavern: Chef Walter Staib’s four-course holiday menu will satisfy both kids (with entrées from the regular children’s menu on offer) and parents (with 18th-century-inspired dishes like pecan-crusted rack of lamb). Call 215-413-1443 to make a reservation.

Four-course meal, $69.95, children 12 and under $29.95.

Distrito: At Jose’s Garces’s flashy new Mexican eatery in University City, chose from one of the two price-specific three-course menus. Call 215-222-1657 to make a reservation.

Franco’s High Note Café: At this South Philly BYOB, the five-course Italian menu — you choose your entrée — comes with a side of singing à la chef Frank Borda. Call 215-755-8903 to make a reservation.

5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. seating, 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. seating: Five-course meal, $60.

Le Bec-Fin: Both meal options at Le Bec-Fin allow guest to sample the restaurants fine French cuisine, but the later seating is treated to a toast with the restaurant’s signature Georges Perrier Cuvee. Call 215-567-1000 to make a reservation.

6 p.m. seating: four-course menu, $85, or six-course prix fixe, $155.

Marigold Kitchen: Choose from two of Chef Erin O’Shea’s menus (one vegetarian) with signature Southern dishes (think slow-roasted South Carolina quail with chestnut/apple cornbread stuffing) kick of the New Year at this University City BYOB. Call 215-222-3699 to make a reservation.

5:30-11:00 seatings. Six-course menu, $65.

Nineteen: At the top of the Hyatt, Nineteen offers two menus, one for the Cafe and one for the Restaurant for New Year’s Eve diners. Call 215-790-1919 to make a reservation, reservations still available for the Cafe, there is a waiting list for the restaurant.

The Oceanaire: It’s all about the seafood at this Old City restaurant’s New Years Eve dinner. Call 215-625-8862 to make a reservation.

5 p.m. to 6 p.m. seating, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. seating, 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. seating, Four-course menu, $85.

Palace at the Ben: It’s all about choices at this Indian restaurant, where diners get to pick from 12 different entrées — including creamy cashmere chicken and panir tikka masala with Palace’s house-made cheese. Call 267-232-5600 to make a reservation.

5-9:30 p.m. seatings. Three-course meal, complimentary glass of champagne, $55.

Pond: This Main Line Mediterranean restaurant complements both its four-course and six-course menus with optional wine pairings. Call 610-293-9411 to make a reservation.

Four-course menu, $65, with wine pairing, $85. Six-course tasting menu, champagne toast, $95, with wine pairing, $125.

Supper: South Street’s Supper has a New Year’s Eve menu heavy on innovative offerings, including deviled eggs with black truffle oil and a coffee-dusted venison loin. Call 215-592-8180 to make a reservation.

5-11 p.m. seatings. Four-course menu, $68.

Tinto: At Jose Garces’s Tinto you can choose within your price range from one of three four-course tapas-style Spanish menus. All options come complete with a complimentary glass of cava. Call 215-665-9150 to make a reservation.

White Dog Café: White Dog offers multiple options within each course, all spotlighting local meats and produce, naturally. Call 215-386-9224 to make a reservation.

Xochitl: This Headhouse Square restaurant heats up its Mexican menu with optional tequila-based cocktail pairings. Call 215-238-7280 to make a reservation.
