A calm retreat in a downtown throbbing with noisy restaurants, Bistro St. Tropez has been a getaway-from-it-all spot from 20 years. The dining room may be starting to show its age, but Patrice Rames has led the kitchen with such grace for two decades that you almost take for granted the consistency of the white anchovy tart with black olive tapenade, the Niçoise salad, and the pan-seared duck breast with roasted pear sauce.

I have been to Bistro St. Tropez three times and I have never had a bad meal there. From simple mushrooms to lamb everything is always wonderful and even though its a small restaurant they welcome bigger parties and take care of you very well!
