In honor of DesignPhiladelphia’s upcoming, annual Pearl St. Passage festival covering the streets of Chinatown and North Callowhill neighborhood, retro whiskey and go-go bar, The Trestle Inn, is hosting We Can, a pop-up beer garden to help the city find creative ways to reuse and “upcycle” aluminum beer cans.
The Trestle Inn, located at the corner of 11th and Callowhill Streets, teamed up with MIO to create this event as a “playful tongue-in-cheek response” to the growing number of pop-up beer gardens surfacing the streets of Philadelphia.
If your Facebook feed is anything like mine this week it has been nothing but Pope maps and port-a-potties. That and some good people who are actually embracing the Pope coming to town and celebrating like its a blizzard.
Here are some of our favorite bar happenings this weekend.
Trestle Inn is about to make your summer Wednesday nights out a lot cheaper.
Its Spirit of Wednesday tasting program (which normally features $5 spirits) is switching it up for summer. Wednesdays will now feature local drafts for just $3. So, hit up Sips from 5-7pm and then head over to Trestle Inn at 7 pm to keep the deals (and the drinks) coming.
Each week will feature a different draft so you'll get a chance to try a variety of brews at this low price. This special series will run straight through August and we've got the full July line up below.
