This Saturday, April 18th, Jean Broillet and the rest of the brew team at Tired Hands Brewing Company are hitting up five different bars, showing off beer brewed from their operational (but not yet open to the public) Fermentaria.
The brewers will be at Local 44 from 12-1 pm, Strangelove’s from 2-3 pm, Standard Tap from 4-5 pm, Memphis Taproom from 6-7 pm and Alla Spina from 8-9 pm. They’ll be pouring their popular HopHands as well as debuting Rutilant, their new IPA brewed with Nelson Sauvin and Cascade Hops.
Plan on meeting up with them at one spot or another. Just don't follow them around all day. That's stalking.

The Alchemist Brewery in Vermont is considered by many as one of the best breweries in the United States and its Heady Topper as one of the top beers in the world. In fact, it’s currently ranked number one by Beer Advocate.
And for one of the first times ever, Heady Topper will be available in Philadelphia beyond the cans your friends brought back from their ski trip.
According to the Alchemist’s Facebook page, John Kimmich and Joel Hartman of Alchemist are coming to Philadelphia today with a truck full of Heady Topper. They’ve announced that the beer will be available at five bars around happy hour this evening.
As of now we can confirm that Heady Topper will be pouring at Monk's Cafe around 6 pm. Each can will be $6. The beer will also be available tonight at 6 pm at Strangeloves for $7.

We could have given them liver and a nice glass of Chianti to see what dishes they’d come up with, but Adam Ratmoko and Sean Korcal had it made from the start.
The theme of the 35th edition of Open Stove at COOK was “Celebrate the Movies”, a nod to the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s Philadelphia Flower Show. And when I say “a nod” I mean a direct rip-off, in the most flattering way possible.
Honestly, can you blame us? The contenders for the evening basically wrote the theme themselves. On one side of the stove, Adam Ratmoko was assisted by Joe McConnell, both representing team Strangelove’s which shares a name with Stanley Kubrick’s 1964 film. On the other side, Sean Korcal took lead, assisted by last month’s Open Stove contender, Geno Betz, both from Bardot Cafe, itself named for French film ingenue, Brigitte Bardot.
