So even if you’re like us at Foobooz, hating all things too-soon pumpkin, I think we can all agree that since the end of October is near it’s finally time to break out the pumpkin and like it. And for all of you who love pumpkin no matter how early in the season it is, this will send you over the moon.
Tonight, Standard Tap is hosting Pumpkin Head 2014. Starting at 4 p.m., the Tap will have a huge variety of pumpkin beers on tap, and for $10 you can get your very own hallowed out pumpkin from which you will drink the pumpkin beer. It really can’t get much more pumpkin-y that that. As a plus, after you’re finished your first pumpkin head, every refill from then on is only $2.
Standard Tap recommends getting there as close to 4 p.m. as possible because of limited supply of pumpkins.

Tuesday, September 9th is shaping up to be an evening reserved for getting your drink on and dipping into your inner artìst. Be careful not to get too tipsy though, or you might end up sending some embarrassing mail.
PubLetters, the awesome (and free) idea that has been happening at Doobies recently, is coming to The Standard Tap starting September 9th. PubLetters runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and supplies you with all the essentials–stationery, stamps, and the inspiration to have a drink and write someone a letter. The Tap will also be hosting PubLetters September 16th, 23rd and 30th. Drink specials will be plentiful and provides a great excuse to unplug for the night.
